| This research aimed to examine whether job satisfaction is related to organizational commitment and whether psychological empowerment strengthens this relationship. To achieve this purpose, a cross-sectional survey was conducted on 398 employees working in the textile sector across 20 companies in the Ikitelli and Merter industrial zones of Istanbul, Turkiye. The hypotheses were tested using regression analyses. Findings revealed significant relationships among some dimensions of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and the moderating role of psychological empowerment in the relationships between satisfaction with communication and affective commitment, between satisfaction with coemployees and continuance commitment, and between satisfaction with benefits and normative commitment. These results suggest that empowered employees are more likely to translate their job satisfaction into stronger commitment toward their organizations. |
