Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de b\u00f6lgeler aras\u0131 gelir yak\u0131nsamas\u0131n\u0131n olup olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 1991-2000 aras\u0131 NUTS-2 d\u00fczeyde panel veri seti kullan\u0131larak incelenmi\u015ftir. Bunun i\u00e7in sabit katsay\u0131l\u0131 modellere alternatif olarak geli\u015ftirilen ve ekonomik ili\u015fkilerin b\u00f6lgeden b\u00f6lgeye de\u011fi\u015fti\u011fi varsay\u0131m\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak olu\u015fturulan rassal katsay\u0131l\u0131 model kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu model arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile hem ortalama olarak hem de her bir b\u00f6lge i\u00e7in mutlak ve ko\u015fullu yak\u0131nsama ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ko\u015fullu yak\u0131nsamay\u0131 test etmek amac\u0131yla b\u00f6lgeler aras\u0131 yap\u0131sal farkl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 temsilen finansal geli\u015fim g\u00f6stergesi olan mevduatlar\u0131n gayrisafi yurt i\u00e7i has\u0131la i\u00e7indeki oranlar\u0131 al\u0131nm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Yap\u0131lan uygulama sonras\u0131nda, ortalama olarak b\u00f6lgeler aras\u0131nda hem mutlak hem de ko\u015fullu yak\u0131nsama oldu\u011fu sonucuna ula\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. B\u00f6lgesel bazda ise, ayn\u0131 dura\u011fan dengeye yak\u0131nsamay\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131ran mutlak yak\u0131nsaman\u0131n 17 b\u00f6lgede ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fi, her bir b\u00f6lgenin kendi dura\u011fan dengesine yak\u0131nsamas\u0131n\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131ran ko\u015fullu yak\u0131nsaman\u0131n ise 25 b\u00f6lgede ger\u00e7ekle\u015fti\u011fi sonucu elde edilmi\u015ftir. Her bir b\u00f6lge i\u00e7in ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lan yak\u0131nsaman\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra mevduat ile ki\u015fi ba\u015f\u0131na gayri safi yurt i\u00e7i has\u0131la aras\u0131ndaki ili\u015fki de tahmin edilmi\u015ftir. Abstract<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

In this study, we test whether there is income convergence among the regions of Turkey at the NUTS-2 level over the period 1991-2000. We use the random coefficient model for this purpose, which have been developed instead of fixed coefficient models and assumes economical relationships varies among the regions. We investigated whether there is absolute and conditional convergence or not for both among the regions and average of the regions. We used the rate of deposits in gross domestic product as a proxy for financial development to represent possible disparities among the regions and concluded that there is both absolute and conditional convergence for the average of the regions. On the other hand, at the regional level, there is absolute convergence for 17 regions and conditional convergence for 25 regions. Also, we found that the deposits have positive effect on per capita income as we expected<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
