Aile i\u00e7inde \u00e7ocuk bak\u0131m\u0131ndan lojistik ve duygusal a\u00e7\u0131dan \u00f6ncelikli sorumlu olarak g\u00f6r\u00fclen anneler, \u00e7ocuklar\u0131n\u0131n gelecekteki kimliklerinin ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel de\u011ferleri ve e\u011filimlerinin olu\u015fumunda eylemlili\u011fe (agency) sahiptirler. Ayn\u0131 zamanda rol model olman\u0131n yan\u0131nda, sosyal bask\u0131 kayna\u011f\u0131 ve ki\u015fisel destek olarak da rol oynayabilmektedirler. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n amac\u0131 \u00f6zellikle e\u011fitimli, orta sosyal s\u0131n\u0131fa mensup ve kendi t\u00fcketim kararlar\u0131na ba\u011f\u0131ml\u0131 \u00e7ocu(\u011fu)klar\u0131 olan T\u00fcrk annelerin annelik s\u00f6ylemlerini ara\u015ft\u0131rmak ve bu s\u00f6ylemlerin g\u0131da ve giyim gibi \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin t\u00fcketim pratiklerinde nas\u0131l ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmakt\u0131r. Sanal topluluklarda kat\u0131l\u0131mc\u0131 olan annelerin s\u00f6ylemsel ve t\u00fcketime ili\u015fkin pratikleri kalitatif ara\u015ft\u0131rma teknikleri kullan\u0131larak ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. T\u00fcketim pratiklerinde ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan temel s\u00f6ylemler \u201ciyi annelik\u201d ve \u201cki\u015fisel ba\u015far\u0131 olarak annelik\u201d\u2019tir. Abstract<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\n

Being primarily responsible of conducting logistical and emotional work of child-rearing, mothers have agency in formation of <\/span>the child\u2019s future identity, cultural values and dispositions, and serve as role models, <\/span>sources of social pressure, and interpersonal support.<\/span><\/span> This article aims to discover discourses of motherhood of Turkish mothers, especially educated and middle class, who have children dependent on their consumption decisions and how their discourses figure in their consumption practices of products, such as food and clothing, which they buy on behalf of their children. Discursive and consumption practices of Turkish mothers who are participating in selected virtual communities are analyzed by means of qualitative research methods. Main discourses that can be observed in their told consumption practices appeared to be the \u201cgood mothering\u201d and \u201cmotherhood as personal achievement\u201d. Backgrounding and absent discourses are also discussed<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
